Transitioning from Summer to Fall Make Up and Fashion 2013 by. PorchialeanLarkin

So this fall has been sssooooo hectic.. filled w/ many activities, school, and fashion events in the city. Some how I have managed to keep track of a few looks from my transition from Summer to Fall 2013.

This first collage actually was just for fun. I started off with pics from my day look.. which was a slight smoke lined eye with a light conturing. To transition this look from day to night I choose a deep dark berry almost black lipstick giving me a vampy look. The products I used to achieve this look were the "New York City Smokeys" pallete from the .em by michelle phan collection. The dark lip color was provided in Fantasy Makers wet n wild "Wicked Look" cosmetic kit. Although I was really playing in the make up I think this is an awesome transition of a day to night look.

In this look I searched online to find some late 80s early 90's inspiration. Im intrigued by the thick knee socks with dr.marten shaped boots. I rarely wear dresses however the right sock are legging will have me reaching for them quickly. In this picture from an old show for kids called "Ghostwriter" I remember being a young girl and loving the stlye of the main character. So I picked a dress I bout a few years back, a sweater from h&m, some old purple payless booties, and knit thigh length socks from Urban Outfitters that are being sold in stores today. A few accessories and I made this look my own spending barely anything because most of it was already in my closet. This was my favorite fall look so far.

This collage is the most random. Inspired by style for the top row and color along the bottom at first glance might seem odd. The first thing I do when transitioning from summer to fall is layer my pieces. Layering makes it easy to combine your old looks with new clothing. So I add stockings, a white tee and heels, or a flair of color from a diy clutch and I've got three new looks. In the first look on the left the dress was actually from Forever 21 less then $20 and the stockings were less then $10. If I find something resonably priced I will add it to my collection especially if its for special occasions.Next I added nail polish colors to my collection for this season and the one I've shown here is called "Through the Grapevine" from the Wet n Wild megalast collection. I've added a little pop of color with lipsticks like Saigon Summer or Feel My Pulse by Mac to all black outfits or when wearing neons within a look. I've tried to stay away from reds because I love wearing red and I tend to wear it out so I've been painring my navy with burgundy instead. The plaid button up shirt is actually burgundy and navy with a navy shaw over it.
